About Us

Thank you for visiting Baker Dental Corp, and allowing us to show pride in our rich history of precious metals.  Beginning as a small family-run jewelry manufacturing business in 1847, Baker & Company quickly grew into a large gold refinery in New Jersey—inventing and producing gold products for various industries.  The company continued to expand and by the 1860’s had become a pioneer of precious metals in the dental industry.  In 1904 Engelhard Corporation acquired Baker & Company, and continued to carve the path of crown & bridge alloys for restorative dentistry through the end of the 20th century.  In 1999, Daab Dental Distributing Corp acquired the Baker Dental Division from Engelhard, formed Baker Dental Corp, and moved the company to the Chicago area.  Baker reestablished itself as a family-run business, capitalizing on its historical excellence in dental alloys and focusing on its customer service that is unmatched in personal attention.
